Very Strange Part 2: Jesus Camp
My friend told me to check out the trailer of the new indie/documentary movie called Jesus Camp. But he told me to make sure I was on the phone with him when I watched the trailer because he wanted to process it with me. I knew that couldn't be good.
Watch the trailer for yourself. And see what Wikipedia says about it.
It's never good when one group of people is judged to be one way because of the behavior of some of its members, whether they are fringe or not.

That is aweful! So that ridiculous camp is supposed to paint the picture of evangelicalism as a whole? That surely doesn't represent me or any of the evangelicals I know.

Rhett,
I posted about this movie last week when I found out about it. You can read my opinion here: http://praisingfool.blogspot.com/2006/09/jesus-camp-movie.html
Basically, I want to watch the movie before I make my final judgment. But I've been told that the directors of the film maintained their own agenda and edited the film to match. I don't know if that's true or not. What I do know is that I am very uncomfortable with Becky Fischer comparing training Christian children to the training of Islamofascist children.
