Rhett,

When people pose to me the idea of the church becoming relevant, I ask the following:

1st - With regards to cultural and pop relevance, is it the role of the church to "fit in" and be "hip" or are we as Christians to be accountable to a different standard. (This is a basic and obvious question).

2nd - Since when is the Word as translated in scriptures ala the NKJ et. al not relevant to society on the whole? Does the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives via the scriptures become stronger as a result of the Biblezine or does it become weaker?

Perhaps neither occurs, however we must be weary of Pop-born Christianity whose appeal is wrought out of the shallow concerns of our society that the Biblezine reflects on its covers.
