For those of you who know me, I love C.S. Lewis's the Chronicles of Narnia. So I am excited and a little fearful about the movie coming out.....but take a look for youself at The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe

Upon realizing that I had gradually become so enormously enamored of Hugh Hewitt's life's work circa A.D. 2004/2005, (leadership, apercus, artful and masculinely delivered analyses, etc), I at once thought it would only be proper and fitting that his site sell variously styled promo t-shirts, mugs, and mousepads which carried one slogan: "I want to BE Hugh Hewitt!!!" Heck, I would buy 'em, which means tens of thousands of others would also -- a palpable win-win-win for all including the "culture" he's trying to shape (despite the intermittent critical scoldings sure to follow of those yet encumbered by the shackles of a largely faulty "false modesty" theology -- a condition which is now treatable btw -- but I digress). WHY THE HECK am I volunteering this on Rhett's site?!? Because today when I was directed here by a mutual friend I was thrilled and delighted to see such seeming panache and passion in the form of content, design, links, references, authorship, authors I love, and purposeful
industry applied to the ostensible quest for saving/ameliorating mankind. (Have I read too much into it? :-) )
Good for you Rhett. And especially good for any wise and teachable 20 or 30 somethings lucky enought to discover you and your "influences." I thank you for standing up. Speaking up. For being a MAN. For causing a brief bout of envy in me today in one of this world's most influential idea factories: Los Angeles. For eliciting my new and improved slogan: "Hey, I wanna be Hewitt AND I WANNA be Rhett Smith TOO!!! U gotta problem wit dat???" :-)
